New CASA Program to Open in Butte

We are thrilled and honored to announce that the Honorable Judges Robert Whelan and Frank Joseph have invited MTCASA to open a CASA program in their courtrooms.  

Working in partnership with the Butte attorney guardian ad litems, and the Butte Advisory Council and Board of Directors, CASA of Butte Silver Bow will be providing advocacy to children starting sometime this winter. Several community members have provided valuable support to form the new 501c3 group. “We really hope that people will support this program through donations or donating their time to a child who needs them,” said board chair Jan Munday. There is a high need for advocacy in the Butte region, and there is much work to be done.

Thanks to the generosity of Tom & Carol McElwain, Montana CASA/GAL Association (MTCASA) has established an endowment with the Montana Community Foundation. This fund provides ongoing support for MTCASA’s mission to advocate for Montana’s most vulnerable children.
